IFDC

At IFDC, we believe that every child is a member of the digital world, and it's impossible for them to dissociate from this dynamic world. As digital citizens, children use digital tools for education and entertainment, but unfortunately, the internet exposes them to various dangers and unpleasant situations. Our mission is to give every child a healthy digital life, protect their digital rights, and educate them on digital well-being so that they can navigate the digital world safely.

our vision

A nation where every child is born and raised in a healthy, safe environment, and educated to be successful citizens in the digital world.

our mission

Mentor children to lead a balanced and healthy digital life. Coach parents to provide constant care and support for children who need it.
The IFDC is dedicated to educating both parents and children on how to use social media, smartphones and other devices, gaming platforms, broadband and media networks, different search engines, etc. in a responsible manner.

Train the kids how to express themselves freely, establish positive attitudes, shape their identities, and speak out on topics that impact them by using creative media tools.

Produce child-friendly media narratives fostering children’s rights. The IFDC will engage with journalists and creative media producers to produce ethically rich media content, including documentaries, films, etc., investigating and amplifying the voice of children and advocating for their rights.

Our Approaches

Children are both right-holders and just beneficiaries

We strongly believe that our children are equal citizens entitled to human rights entirely. Therefore, they are rights holders, not just beneficiaries. This strategic approach will allow us to outline the responsibilities of key stakeholders, including governments and other institutions, to act proactively at the legislative, political, structural, cultural, economic, and social levels.

Child rights cannot be achieved without addressing women’s rights

We see gender equality and women’s rights as key pillars in achieving the rights of children. Without achieving gender equality, creating a healthy environment for children to discover their maximum potential is not possible. We also believe that a balanced distribution of power between girls and boys, as well as between women and men, creates a conducive environment for kids to develop their personalities. Our programmes primarily recognize the importance of young girls and women being given equal access to all spheres of social life.

Digital well-being is a right for every child

We strongly believe that children have the right to access the internet. It is the responsibility of the state and the parents to make sure the children do not face any dangerous and negative experiences when accessing the internet. We are dedicated to working with the public and private sectors, parents, and communities to ensure that children can safely use the internet and that any unfortunate incidents are handled right away.

Technology cannot rob creativity

IFDC firmly believes that technology cannot rob the creativity and peace of mind of children. Technology cannot take away children from the healthy fun they have in the physical world. Therefore, it is vital for kids to learn their rights and responsibilities not only in the digital sphere but also in the physical world.
