Are you a passionate student eager to make a lasting impact in the digital world? The International Foundation for Digital Child (IFDC) invites students from schools and universities to become part of our dynamic team as Junior Directors for a one-year term.

IFDC’s Dedication to Digital Child Protection

IFDC is committed to long-term digital rights programs in Sri Lanka. Our mission is to foster responsible use of social media, promote digital citizenship, ensure digital safety and security, encourage responsible digital consumption, and combat all forms of violence against children in the online realm. We have crafted a unique program called #DigitalWise, specifically designed to equip young individuals and their parents with essential digital life skills to mitigate the effects of digital addiction.

The Role of Junior Directors

As a Junior Director, you will serve on an advisory board alongside other young individuals aged 16-18, representing students from various schools and universities. Your pivotal role will involve:

  • Reviewing all learning materials, projects, and annual events to ensure they genuinely represent the younger generation.
  • Collaborating on the design of programs and materials.
  • Offering insights and validation for IFDC’s decisions.

We highly value the opinions and preferences of young people, and the Junior Board will have the opportunity to influence what’s best for them and their community. Monthly meetings will be held, either in person or virtually, to provide insights to IFDC’s management as they shape digital programs.

Our Junior Board will consist of 20 members, comprising 10 girls and 10 boys. Your decisions will be communicated to IFDC’s Board members and advisors monthly, shaping IFDC’s programs. Additionally, the Junior Board will plan an annual conference on digital rights for children.

IFDC will provide all necessary support to implement digital rights programs in targeted schools.
